TOUCHY FEELY - "exits of the gsp" (tvr-07) CD-R using nothing but an old 4-track and a few guitar pedals, production wizard james dellatacoma brings on a brilliant dub-tinged journey down this meca of new jersey transportation, the garden state parkway. this is what makes jersey great... ZELDA PINWHEEL – “…one tear to this fabric…” (tvr-06) CD the latest endeavor finds this band evolving to create a sonic masterpiece on unparalleled beauty and atmosphere… these eight songs lead us on an exploration of sound, a rejection of global oppression, and a realization of a better future… recorded by the band at wise fool studio, “…one tear to this fabric…” is hope renewed despite what the 5 o’clock news says… (our first non CD-R release) RELEASE DATE: december 24, 2002 ZELDA PINWHEEL – “serenity (in hindsight)” (ep) (tvr-05) CD-R this six song, 35 minute ep of demos is intended to bridge the gap between “(:as seen through a thin sheet of glass)” and the upcoming release of “…one tear to this fabric…” … this lo-fi collection ranges from dreary acoustic songs, to piano pieces with erie spoken word, to wonderful ambient soundscapes… much of this recording was done on 4 track… one track was live… the rest were recorded in various bedrooms and basements… features a hand painted CD-R done by the band… AVAILABLE NOW (but not for long) TOUCHY FEELY II – “dreams and beat sequences” (tvr-04) CD-R touchy feely’s first full length release… combining aspects of funk, rock, electronica and too many others to name, james dellatacoma gives us this veritable feast for the senses... features a hand painted CD-R… AVAILABLE NOW… TRANSPARENT MUSIC … (tvr-03) CD-R our free label sampler… these are rare… we change the track listing every few months to keep up with our catalog… they are free if you buy any of our cd’s online… TOUCHY FEELY – ep (tvr-02) CD-R james’s first venture into the realm of bedroom electronic production (although some of it was done on a 4-track), touchy feely’s debut effort is 16 minutes of lo-fi electronic madness… features a slew of guest musicans… the first released recording at wise fool recording studio… SOLD OUT ZELDA PINWHEEL – “(:as seen through a thin sheet of glass)” (tvr-01) CD-R the start of it all… this album was recorded in a cold basement with our friend jamie (of twisted pair.) the resulting sounds are as sad and dark as the room in which it was recorded in… here we see zelda pinwheel in the embryo stage, not yet fully realized… the first 100 featured covers assembled by hand… SOLD OUT .............................. all of our releases up to this point (with the exception of the serenity ep) were mastered by our good friend gabe monago at mercenary productions (new brunswick, nj) if you own any of our out of print material, we encourage you to make copies for your friends and encourage then to write and say hi… |
